This is a nice place to go and relax and destress for city life. A wonderful place to come and read a book in the gardens library upstairs in the structure here. There are so many different kids of plants here it was interesting to see all the different kinds they have here. Come with friends or by yourself it’s a little getaway like you left the city.

Lovely concept for NYC. I arrived at 16:05 on the third Friday in April. I’d missed Wednesday as I was at the library and there was an author talk. A few people were already set up reading and on computers. A few couples and friends groups were taking photos and having snacks. I took a late lunch and read. Unfortunately there were two people on the tree house disturbing the grounds. Talking and arguing loudly about a missed double date. They stayed there until 6pm when I left. Very inconsiderate to other guests and tourists. I’ll email the organisers and suggest 30/45 minute increments so everyone gets a turn. The flowers were labelled. I was surprised Cohosh comes on blue and not just black. Lovely little plaque for Spam Cat on my second photo. I will go back another day to enjoy a more peaceful atmosphere - hopefully. I took the M9 & the M14sbs are local. This will be beautiful when on full bloom. A few more benches or lawn chairs would be nice as there are a few sparsely patches of mud. Run solely on donations - there’s a box for cash and a qr code. I hope to update if they take outdoor furniture donations

A beautiful garden tucked in between the residential buildings. The tree house is popular, but my favorite was the koi pond.

It’s smaller than I expected. Expect a line for the treehouse, and be aware there might be mice. They had a great art exhibit and performance when I visited, and the scenery is 👍🏼 .

Beautiful botanical garden maintained by volunteers. I’ve been lucky to find it open on mid-day Thursday outside of officially stuffed hours. Variety of plants, trees and flowers. Quaint brick paths to explore garden’s corners. So much more than typical community garden.

Its location on 6th Street between Avenues B and C situates it in one of Manhattan’s most eclectic and artsy neighborhoods, enhancing the garden’s cultural resonance.
