Let’s be real—this is Austin, so like many public spaces, you’ll probably find some unhoused folks around especially at night and the restrooms are likely not the cleanest (I didn’t use them, but other reviews mention that). That said, This park feels like a mini Zilker—but designed with kids in mind. The open grassy areas are perfect for running around or laying down a picnic blanket. The playground is massive, with creative structures and space for all ages to explore and play. There’s even a splash pad/water feature to help kids cool off on hot days. Located next to Auditorium Shores and not far from Barton Springs.. One of my favorite things about this park is the stunning view of the Austin skyline—especially at sunset. There are swings, shaded seating areas, bathrooms, and plenty of room to just be outside and enjoy the moment. It’s a place where kids can be wild and free, and grown-ups can still take in the beauty of the city. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Austin with little ones—or if you’re just looking for a peaceful, joyful spot with a view.

Clean, partly shaded, super fun and expansive with bathrooms! The place is super clean, which is a big plus for parents and kids alike. There are plenty of partly shaded areas, so you can find a nice spot to relax while the kids play, even on sunnier days. The playground itself is super fun and expansive! There’s so much to explore, from slides and swings to climbing structures and more. My kids were entertained for hours, and we still didn’t get to everything. Plus, there are bathrooms available, which is super convenient. Overall, it’s a fantastic spot for a family day out. Highly recommend checking it out!
