I’m hitting the end of my one night stay and everything has been so great, turn the mini fridge up if you’re keeping food and drink in there but other than that the hotel is like a step back in time in a great way. Nostalgic but so insanely well kept, big props to the people who clean this hotel and shout out the Irene. I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a spotless hotel room from tile to walls not a single spec of anything in the bathroom. Thanks Irene!

We recently hosted a Family Reunion at the Ann Arbor Regent Hotels & Suites. I am thrilled to write this review as the customer service from booking through exiting was outstanding. We had over 80 participants attending the reunion and staying at the hotel. I can say that as the host we did not receive a single complaint. They raved about the accommodations as their expectations were exceeded - not being a big named hotel. The Conference Center was great and met all of our needs. I would seek to use this venue again should we host future events. My wife and myself will be using the hotel as a getaway nonetheless. Very pleased. Thank you for the great hospitality.

We were initially impressed with the well kept grounds and cleanliness of this hotel, it quickly realized this hotel had a lot of major issues that needed attention. No AC in common areas (in July), hallways, breakfast area, lobby, game room. Rooms were outdated and plain. Mini fridge was either warm or freezing our food Afternoon cookies were advertised, but only had one day out of 4 due to a “broken oven” Unfriendly staff. Not allowed to sit in the outside courtyard, pool or game area after 10pm. We were treated like children and told at 10pm we were not allowed to sit and visit in the upstairs game room and the woman turned the light off on us. Horrible customer service. I will say the lady fixing breakfast was great and hardworking, but the breakfast was minimal and no variety. We paid $800 for 4 nights, the location is okay. It’s about a 15 minute drive to downtown Ann Arbor. I would stay closer if you can. I promise you the pictures are way better than reality.

Disappointing Stay – Clean Rooms Can’t Compensate for Poor Service We chose the Regent Ann Arbor after plenty of research, but four nights here have convinced us not to return. Pros • Very clean: Housekeeping keeps the property spotless. • Decent location: Easy drive to downtown and campus. Cons 1. Outdated, plain rooms 2. Common-area AC out – Hallways and lobby were uncomfortably hot all week. 3. Rude night-manager incident – While a loud group was gambling in the lobby, three of us quietly moved to the upstairs game room. Within minutes a manager marched in, flipped the lights off without greeting us, and barked that “they’re off for a reason.” Being treated like misbehaving kids—in a hotel charging above-average rates—was unacceptable. 4. Cookie bait-and-switch – “Fresh cookies nightly” is advertised, yet they were gone within 30 minutes every night; staff blamed a broken oven the last two nights. 5. Cramped, mediocre breakfast – The serving area is tiny, traffic jams are constant, and the spread is merely okay. 6. Value & attitude – Customer service costs nothing, yet it’s where this hotel fails the hardest. Bottom line: Cleanliness alone doesn’t justify the price when the staff’s attitude makes guests feel unwelcome. We won’t stay again and can’t recommend the Regent Ann Arbor until management prioritizes hospitality and guests experience.

We were very pleased with our stay at the Ann Arbor Regent Hotel & Suites, MI. The hotel staff were all professional and friendly and the atmosphere was pleasant. The hotel appears to be a bit older, but is very clean and in good condition. Any updates that have done appear to have been done well, (unlike other hotels where all an update consists of is to add another layer of caulk and paint). There was a game area which had a pool table, foosball, table for checkers, table for chess, and shuffleboard table, which was nice and open and eye appealing. We didn't use the pool, but our room overlooked the pool area and it looked welcoming and clean. The room itself was clean and fairly roomy and the bathroom was spacious, updated and clean. The only negative is saw is that the floor tile in the bathroom was the same as the shower tile and was a shiny, smooth ceramic tile which tended to get condensation on it, which in turn made it a bit slippery. It looked nice and was super clean (including the grout), but was a little slick. The included breakfast was nice to have and offered a good amount of options that were all tasty. Overall, I'd highly recommend this hotel.
