Such a cute and quaint wine bar! There’s a wide selection of drinks, including some super interesting locally made wines and whiskies. You can even get little testers to sample before you commit. Biggest shoutout to the best bartender ever, Dan (!!), who was so kind and helpful 🥂 I really liked the sparkling orange wine - super crisp and refreshing. I also tried one of their local whiskies; it did the job but lacked some complexity flavor-wise. The vibe and aesthetic are on point, and they offer small bites too with complementary corn nuts that were supppeerr yummy! Highly recommend and will definitely be coming back!

Our experience was truly exceptional at Apero. Zander took care of me and my party and we were all so extremely impressed by him, his vibe and his food/wine knowledge! He took the time to carefully and thoroughly explain everything he brought to the table and he was by nature very funny, entertaining and easy to get along with. The cheese charcuterie board and the wines were truly fabulous from start to finish. Zander’s recommendations for each wine were individualized to every member of the party based on how we described our tastes/desires and he nailed it EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I cannot recommend this place enough! We will absolutely be returning any time we come to Chicago in the future!!!! I just hope Zander is there to take care of us again!
