Aquatic Sports seems like a nice shop for purchasing SCUBA gear. Employees seem helpful and personable. However, I would not recommend renting gear until Aquatic Sports addresses the quality control and condition of their rental gear. I do not like to write negative reviews, but when it comes to Scuba gear, this is a safety issue. I rented a BCD, tank and wetsuit for my son. All three were in worn out condition (the photos speak for themselves). I noticed a visible tear on the canvas around the chest straps on the BCD when I picked it up. When I pointed out the torn canvas to the shop owner, I was told it would be fine. I should have trusted my instincts and asked for a different BCD. We drove 200 miles to the Puget Sound to go diving. As my son was attaching the BCD to the tank, I poured some water on the tank strap to loosen it up. Just before he went in the water, he slightly inflated the vest. To our surprise, we saw not just one air leak bubbling on the back seam of the BCD, but four separate air leaks. The only reason that we saw the leaks was because I happened to have poured water on the BCD. I'm glad that he didn't discover this in the water 60 feet below. It was disappointing to drive all that way and feel we had to cancel the dive at the last minute (thankfully a dive school at the site stepped in and loaned us a working BCD). Upon our return, I explained to the guy in the shop what had happened. I spoke about the need for better quality control. I pointed out that the BCD and wetsuit looked visibly worn out, with tears and holes. The tank was covered with chipped paint that rained blue paint chips on everything, and the tank looked like the inspection sticker on the tank had not been updated in the last year. He said that rental gear gets really banged up. He also said that they regularly inspect their rental gear, and that customers can always test gear out in their pool before diving with it. The shop issued a refund for the BCD rental. We have experience renting gear on a regular basis from two other local shops, and we have rented gear in other states and internationally, so we have those rentals to compare this experience with. I support small businesses and respect Aquatic Sports for the products and services they offer. However, rental gear in this condition is not recommendable.

I can't speak to the diving instruction (but it seems awesome bc the people running it are great), but the lessons for my daughter have been amazing. we opted for 1 on 1 lessons, which were reasonably priced for private lessons IMO, but the group option was even more affordable and maxed out at 3 kids at a time so it is still concentrated attention. my daughter has made more progress in 6 lessons here than she did in the last 2+ years of instruction elsewhere. we will keep bringing her here until she is a confident and strong swimmer. and look forward to bringing her sister when it's time for her to learn to swim too. 100/10 recommend for children's lessons and again... not a diver, but I would absolutely come here for dive lessons if that was my bag.

Their swim instructors are simply the best! Everyone is very accommodating and just good kind people. It is clear that they love what they do. My kid loves the pool/temp/teachers and fun environment. We have tried all sorts of lessons and this is by far our favorite.

This is a multi-generational family owned dive shop. They offer equipment for all levels and expectations. The atmosphere and expertise is awesome. The episodes of Sea Hunt set the mood... and having a pool on site make this the go to place for local dive culture.

Amazing swim lessons for children and adults! No one in my family dives, but we've all taken swim lessons here. I really appreciate the expertise, flexibility, and patience of all the instructors. I've been struggling with swimming for a long time, and now I'm able to swim a full lap confidently. It's been fun to see my kiddos transition from shy and nervous to excited and playing at each lesson.
