The renovations look beautiful. We enjoyed our tournament there. It was well organized for team camps, to clear rules for teams and fans to follow. We had no problem viewing as fans. It was loud, just like every volleyball tournament. The people that run the facility are super friendly and helpful!! Disregard the previous bad reviews. That certainly does not reflect our experience. They had to renovate, and that must have taken time. But, our experience was great!

My daughter has played 2 seasons here @ AzSky and the facility is amazing the other parents involved are pretty great also( both seasons).Playing time is fair of course as they get older you play to win which is great ! The clinics, one on ones & ownership & Dennis have been friendly communicative and down to earth. It’s is pricey but you get what you pay for as with anything else in life I feel my daughters journey and personal growth is worth the value! Centrally located and I personally like having the perspective viewpoint from the balcony. Many improvements have been done to the facility with more planned so kinda excited about the future!

I wouldn’t recommend this organization to my worst enemy. The facility is in desperate need of attention, but the owners couldn’t care less about anything except lining their pockets. Parent concerns? Completely ignored—as long as they’re cashing your checks, nothing else matters. The fees are already outrageously high for what you’re getting, and just when you think you’ve paid it all, surprise! More hidden costs keep piling up. To make matters worse, tournament game locations are often announced just 3–4 days in advance, sometimes requiring hours of travel. If you have a young family or any kind of life outside of this, good luck making that work on last minute location travels. The constant nickel-and-diming is beyond absurd, especially for the lack of professionalism & horrible treatment this company offers. this place is a complete money grab! Stay far away unless you’re into this kinda thing. If there was an option to select less than 1 star, I’d do it.

We had high hopes for Arizona Sky Volleyball Academy after positive experiences in developmental and summer league, but our first year in club volleyball was disappointing. Despite investing nearly $7,000, our daughter saw minimal playing time without any explanation, even as other players repeatedly made mistakes. At the MLK Tournament, she started, scored the first point, and was benched for the rest of the match while all 11 teammates continued to play. This pattern repeated in several other games, with no feedback or encouragement from the coach. Coaching quality was another major concern. Coach Jordyn’s lack of physical involvement made it difficult for her to effectively demonstrate drills and develop players. Given the high cost of club volleyball, it’s concerning when a coach is not in shape to actively engage in training. Scheduling and team placement were equally frustrating—our practices were held late at night (7:45–9:30 p.m. on a school night), requiring a 45-minute commute. Tournaments were scheduled at the last minute, making planning nearly impossible. One tournament, held 3.5 hours away, was announced late Tuesday night for a Saturday morning 7 a.m. start. When we couldn’t attend, my daughter was sent to several make-up practices with another team, only to be benched the entire session without any interaction. Financial transparency was severely lacking. Families were not given a full breakdown of costs until just two weeks before tryouts, forcing many—especially minority families—to walk away due to unexpected expenses. After paying the club fees, we were blindsided by a $1,000 hotel requirement for an out-of-state tournament just before Christmas. A clear financial breakdown upfront would allow families to plan accordingly. The environment also felt exclusionary, with clear favoritism in playing time. More skilled players were placed with the strongest coaches, while younger and less-experienced athletes were assigned to mediocre coaching—this was not only our experience but was also echoed by other families we spoke with. When I raised concerns with the Director of Operations after receiving his text message, I never received a response, even after following up a week later. I also emailed the owner, and while I was told my email had been received, no one ever contacted me—even after two weeks. Ultimately, we left due to poor coaching and player development, lack of playing time and support, inconvenient scheduling, hidden financial burdens, and a lack of inclusivity. Families considering this club should ask detailed questions about costs, schedules, coaching involvement, and playing time before making a commitment. Additionally, I strongly recommend avoiding Coach Jordyn’s team—I was warned but didn’t listen. Update 2/11 – I finally received a response, but only after posting a review. My experience is entirely accurate, as I have no reason to be dishonest. The full cost of the club was not disclosed until two weeks before tryouts, and we were given no prior information about practice times, out-of-area tournaments with only three days' notice, or the excessive ongoing fees. My comments about Coach Jordyn reflect my personal perspective. When paying thousands of dollars for a club experience, I expect high-quality coaching—yet this program feels like nothing more than a money grab, and I am not alone in this sentiment. I also shared my concerns with Dennis after his inquiry, but my response was ignored. There can be no open discussion or constructive feedback if concerns are dismissed. I hope this review leads to improved transparency and communication for future families.

Too small. They try with ‘rules’ for spectators but… just too small for four games simultaneously. Standing room only. Opposite of social distancing. Restrooms smell heavily of marijuana. +1 star for somewhat new facilities.
