What a God send. These guys go above and beyond for the homeless like myself. Good food three meals a day. Hot showers anytime I want one. Electricity/water/ Wi-Fi/ food/ and if you're let into the program that you can stay here until they get you housed. I got into the tiny home program. Rent is only like $550 a month. I move in July 5 th.

I never go inside. I have visited this building a few times. In this instance the weather in 2025 was finally getting cold and below 30 that coming weekend. My coworkers and I had access to big coats, sleeping bags and socks. There is a sub set of homeless who prefer to live in alley ways on the adjacent blocks. We had no trouble emptying our supplies. It was genuine and an honorable treat

I had a friend that was staying there and he left because he just got out of prison trying to change his life around he was there only 3 days in front of the time he was there to the time he left everybody in that place is selling drugs using drugs or both and it doesn't seem like the staff cares at all if you're trying to turn your life around shelter because the staff there let them do what they want that sad Update it's been a month and a half later

*UPDATE* So far my experience is limited to the Cooling station, as I have not been taking in as a resident yet. During the summer time of 2023 a cooling station began at 8:00am every day of the week. Just walk up to the window and door and ask for the cooling station. You will be allowed in, and asked to sign in. You will be directed to a chair along the wall. The AC works. You can be escorted to the restroom. Coffee is free, cold water also. Perhaps you will be handed a free meal. Staff is courteous. It was nice enough I decided to apply to open positions online. *UPDATE Follows* I was allowed to movie in around mid August of 2023, and assigned to a top bunk in one of the 5 bunk halls on the 3rd floor of the facility. Lights are out at night, and everyone is expected to be quiet and mindful of those who are sleeping. 20 bunks total in each hall, 5 bottom and 5 top on each side. Restrooms and a out door balcony with a nice flat screen TV are also available on the 3rd floor. It is what it is, some folks who've been homeless for a long time might not practice good hygiene or opt to use the free laundry services provided on the first floor, so some areas of the bunks may at times smell a bit musty. This is a concern the staff addresses often, so let them know, and it might just get corrected. The 2nd floor has the dining facility, 3 meals a day, most of them are pretty darn good, they are also free, and second servings are usually available the last 15 minutes of meal time. Late plates available for those who get home later from work. Staff has offices on the second floor, as well as a large meeting room utilized for a 1 hour recovery meeting on Wednesday evening. Friday mid morning there is a town hall meeting in the dining room where everyone is encouraged to voice any comments, cares, or concerns about the facility, interactions between individuals, and services provided by the Urban Alchemy operated ARCH. Lastly the 2nd floor has a large Restroom area with many large showers and stalls. Probably the best fixtures, overall Restroom environment, and restroom cleanliness available to the homeless I have ever experienced. Again, some folks aren't accustom too picking up their belongings, and putting things back they way they found them, but staff comes through on a regular bases and has it back to what one might hope for when they enter. The first floor has access to a garage which is used by clients to store their belongings in large locking plastic bins, and a large smoking area with a flat screen TV, usually on News or Sports. Upon entering from the front door there is a desk to the right to check in and out. There is no curfew, just be sure and be there and check in at least once every 72 hours, or your bed will be giving to someone who needs it more than you do. To the left there is an onsite Community Care clinic with MD's and Psychologists, and or Nurse Practitioners of the same (at least when I was a resident), to provide onsite care to clients and or refer them to where they might need to go. On Fridays a Medical Access Program representative is onsite to sign folks up for County provided MAP's insurance. Across from the clinic is the reception Desk and information center where you can ask a staff member for information about resources, and a courtesy phone . You will be assigned a case manager soon after being a resident for 2 weeks. There is also a large seating area with tables and a very large TV, usually on movies for everyone's entertainment. Aside from the meals, restaurants in the community often donate food, which is left for the residents near the water and or Coffee station. If I recall, residents are allowed up to 24 months to obtain more permanent housing through the case worker services and or their own accord. Be smart and communicate your situation with your case worker. I had a very positive experience from my perspective, I left and didn't return for weeks, so I wasn't a resident any longer, and the property I left was donated to the onsite cloths closet.
