Ok they have a sign out front as the friendliest staff, this was my 1st time going to this shop, I am a total newbie and yes they are super friendly and helpful. I signed up for the beginner fly-fishing class and looking forward to it. They have everything you will ever need to become a fly fisherman. I am looking forward to the class and taking more of them.

Drove out from the south east valley to see this place and get some line for a reel. Backing was free with purchase of fly line. Very unique shop with a lot of quality gear in stock with good variety of fly and gear offerings. Very diverse fly tying and hook selections. It's a drive for sure for me but definitely better selection than the big box stores. Interesting stuff for sale and classes offered and what not as well. One stop do all shop for sure.

Absolutely one of the best places around! They always take great care of me and get what I need. Not only that, they are SUPER friendly and we always have great conversation. Chris Rich is an amazing person. Last week I went in to pick up a fly rod for a fishing trip to the white mountains. Chris and Jeff helped get everything I need and showed me a few spots to try for the fish we were looking for. It ended up being a great trip! Me and my wife both caught our first arctic grayling and I caught my first Apache trout! Highly recommended!

I live in Idaho and am visiting the Phoenix area. I wanted to go fly fishing and happened upon Az Fly Shop. I walked into the shop looking for bugs and local intel. The shop is well stocked and unassuming-make sure to see the custom cork grips. I had my Benchmark maps with me and my questions prepared. I was quickly greeted by Marc who went to right to work with me. He gave me his recommendations on where, what to use and how to fish them. I then asked him about food and drink in the area and he had that answered as well. This is what fly shops are supposed to do. I then got a local map and my flies and was on my way. Marc was very helpful and spent all the time needed to answer my questions. Thanks RJ

I just love my local fly shop! Having stopped by fly shops around the country in my travels, I can say this is my favorite! They are so helpful and welcoming, there is not an ounce of exclusion or judgement. They have tons of items for sale, great specials, and super staff. They give back to the community as well. If you get a chance to take any of their classes, you'll be very pleased, they know their stuff and you get tons out of the session.
