This is great place to spend a Sunday. The fish immigration is phenomenal. If I did not see them jumping up the ladder, I would not have believed. The locks as well raising water levels to enable for the movement of boats between the lakes and the ocean and therefore managing movement of saltwater. The live jazz band was equally fantastic and last and definitely not least, the botanical gardens.

I love this places! I took a free tour (~1 hour) and I heard a bunch of interesting historical information about the Locks and the canal. The guide was very informative and friendly. It was very cool to see how the locks work. I didn’t see salmon because it’s out of season, but I’ll definitely be back. I even spotted a couple of seals.

Very cool place to check out with the boat/ ship ladders. It is fun to walk across and watch the water spill through the ladder. Make sure to check out the garden on the side of the park as it is very nice and relaxing to explore.

This is pretty interesting to watch the locks fill up and lower with water. It's like a mini Panama Canal. We even saw a couple of seals in the salt water too. And it's free! The fish ladder only had a couple of small fish in it when we were there. There is a paid parking lot at the entrance. The grounds are beautiful and flowers were in bloom at this time. A wedding party was there having their pictures taken too.
