My original favorite book store is alive & well, full of nothing but the good stuff & too many to narrow down & choose from usually. All kinds of genres, a gorgeously appointed children's area with large selection of toys, puzzles & games to accompany the awesome book selection. Magazines, puzzles & lots of non-book merchandise available for yourself, or, to compliment the books you give to the reader in your life. The usual cafe is located inside, serving fresh ground coffee creations gifted by the Coffee Gods & perfected by barista magic. Lots of space to browse aisles & look at sporadic scatter of comfortable chairs within to allow opportunity take closer look at whatever you fancy. Knowledgeable & courteous staff are all book lovers too, it just shines through. Rewards now offered with purchases, for future use. Low priced shelves area for adults & children, books of all types & wonderful area to shop if budgeting, or use up gift card balance. Love the lighting & subtle low volume of instrument music in-store. App is fully loaded with books & other merchandise too.

Good to see a book store thriving. This store never disappoints on the rare occasion that I want to pick up a book. Have recent gone in for ASL books, foraging books, and some gifts. HUGE selection. The staff all seem to be stoked to be working around books and will help if you ask. The vibe is chill and it smells great in there (like all book stores). Definitely worth a visit!

I love this Barnes and noble. But the old lady with grey hair that works in children section don’t greet anyone that’s brown or black. I notice it while I was just looking around. I was there for a while just looking through every section. It was not busy either. I just wanted to let be known. Other than that, I love Barnes and noble.

As a bookworm hailing from the UK, stepping into a Barnes & Noble during my American visit was an experience I'd anticipated. While I ultimately didn't make a purchase, the visit itself was a delightful immersion into a different kind of bookstore culture. The first thing that struck me was the sheer scale. Compared to many of our high street bookshops, Barnes & Noble felt expansive, with broad aisles and towering shelves that seemed to stretch into the literary heavens. The layout was intuitive, with clear signage guiding me through genres, and dedicated sections for new releases and bestsellers were prominently displayed, making it easy to see what was currently capturing American readers' attention. What truly set it apart for me was the atmosphere. It wasn't just a place to buy books; it felt like a community hub. The comfortable seating areas, complete with armchairs and small tables, invited lingering. The integrated Starbucks café, a common feature I’ve heard about but rarely encountered in UK bookstores, added to this sense of a welcoming retreat. People were genuinely settling in, reading, working, or quietly chatting over coffee – a far cry from the often hurried pace of UK retail. I spent a good hour just Browse, admiring the vast selection, and appreciating the unhurried vibe. The children's section was particularly impressive, vibrant and engaging, with plenty of space for little ones to explore. While I left empty-handed, my decision was more about luggage constraints for my flight back to the UK than a lack of tempting titles. The visit was a pleasant cultural observation, showcasing a relaxed, inviting approach to bookselling that felt uniquely American. It was a worthwhile pilgrimage, even without a new book to show for it.
