This is a great place to hike. I would recommend going when there is water though. Keep pets on a leash though APD has been increasing thier tours out here and will fine you if they catch you. I wish they would change that because it seems more dangerous to me to hike and only have one hand available.

The closest way to the "secret watering hole!" Extra parking is available at the Barton Hills Elementary School on the weekend. Just because this is a secret it DOES NOT mean you can just let your pet use the restroom all the time and You...YES YOU owner not pickup the "poop" other wise someone may rain on your parade by photographing you and your pet messing this "city property"up and your candid photo will be turned over to park rangers for follow up. This is showing signs of abuse.

This enterance takes you to the Flats which is one of the more busier spots in town. When walking down the trail you have to option to go left or right. If you head left you can find more quiet & private spots to chill in the creek.
