Ok so here's the good, the bad and the ugly about Barwell Road Park. I did not visit the community center so I can't speak on that. So, the ugly first. There is no bathroom at the park. We went on a Sunday afternoon and luckily neither of my children needed to go. This is an absolute necessity for us because little bladders are weak. The bad is the parking. There's no designated parking. There were no parking signs along the road which was confusing. We did end up parking alongside the road where the no parking signs were only during school hours. Now the good, and there is plenty! This is probably my family's 2nd favorite park with an obstacle course. Our first is at Graham Regional Park and our third would be at Apex Community Park. This park has an average sized obstacle course which easily put it above Elevate obstacle course at Apex Community Park. Both adults and children can run this course easily. The only electronic device on the course that worked was the timer on the obstacle course. I believe this was the most important one. My son enjoyed timing himself on the course and beating that time. Not having a working device on the 40 yard dash didn't prevent him from running it and racing others. There is a traditional playground right next to it, which was nice because my kids could go back and forth between the two. The large play structure had multiple large tube slides. It also had two smaller slides. There are multiple climbing structures and plenty of space to play. It also has 4 traditional swings. Beside it, there's a smaller toddler play structure with lots of tinker toys and slides. It also has two bucket swings, a parent/toddler swing and an adaptive swing. The play surface is soft and responsive. There is also a decent sized grass area to kick a ball around or just sit in the grass. There are a few covered picnic tables between the park and obstacle course and benches around the area. Overall, this is a great park and my children could've spent all day out there. They both gave the park 5 stars, I only deducted a star because of parking and the lack of bathrooms. If you're in the area, definitely go check it out. My 6 year old's fastest time was 1:13 on the course, we'll be back for him to beat it.

AWESOOOOOME!!!!! I have now taken my son to 164 different playgrounds here in the Greater Raleigh Area and this Panther Playground and Obstacle Course is in the Top Three in Raleigh! The Top Three Playgrounds in Raleigh are: Sassafras Playground at Laurel Hills Park, John C. Chavis Memorial Park and Splashpad, and now this Amazingly Cool Carolina Panthers Playground and Play60 American Ninja Warrior-style Obstacle Course at Barwell Road Park. Hands down those are the TOP THREE playgrounds IN Raleigh!!! (Checkout my reviews to see the other 163.) 😁👍 So, this playground has SO many cool THREE-STORY tube slides!!! It has a smaller playground of course, as most do these days, for the one-year-olds…and then right next to it is the unbelievable Play60 Obstacle Course WITH an actual working digital timer so you can compete against the clock and beat your best time! HOW AMAZING to add that!!! There’s also a 40-yard dash sprint strip with dual digital timers as well, so you can race against your buddy abs then see who was fastest at the end! SO stinkin cool to add that feature in! This playground is all brand new as of June of this year too! SO nice of the Carolina Panthers Organization sponsoring a playground of this standard, level, professionalism, creativity, and magnitude to be built for the community!!! THANK YOU GUYS!!!! 🏈🏈😁👍👍

Very well maintained and easy to get to park/playground area with so much to do including tons of fun athletic activities, football turf and great picnic areas and grassy areas surrounded by woods! Very convenient but feels secluded! Bathrooms in the community center next door are super nice to have and weather/climate controlled. Great park for kids and even teenagers!

A great park with a good mix of equipment. Kids from 2 1/2 to 13 had fun as well as adults. Definitely a great place to play with your kids and not just sit and watch.

Great park but I highly suggest not going down the slide pictured (in the tower with two slides, it's the one on the left as you enter the tower). If you're an adult you'll twist your ankle after the initial steep drop shoots you straight into a curve. If you're a child you'll bang the back of your head at the same point. It's a really poorly designed slide. Also there are yellow jackets.
