I have been scouting out Chicagoland Boat Launches as of late with my little jon boat and pickup. I would be hesitant launching a large craft with a regular street vehicle. The ramp itself is in fine shape but it is full of big tree branches and garbage. Old tires and such. My little truck sits high up and has good mud tires on it so it was ok but it was a rough ride. I think my little 12 inch trailer tires are cool but they took a beating lol. The ramp water level was atleast decent, and this is the steepest of the 3 ramps I have visited lately(Jackson Park Inner Harbor and Little Calumet River launch in Blue Island. All that being said I will be back, I like the location and atleast the water was high.
