A great way to see a part of the city you normally drive right through. Incredible and surprising range of birds and other wildlife: we saw ducks, geese, heron, turtles, and frogs. Great pricing and friendly, helpful staff, too

What a great way to see a part of the city you normally would not- and it’s fun to ride in the river alongside the bike trail that connects to Horner Park on Irving Park. Highly recommend trying this one weekend morning or afternoon. Staff is friendly and helpful; they bring the kayaks down to the pier and give you a demonstration of how to get in and out of the boat. It’s $25 a single kayak for an hour and $35 and hour for tandem. The Chicago River is not necessarily somewhere I would want to swim in, but kayaking on it offers lovely views and a peaceful adventure to try something new.

Did a two-hour guided paddle with my 5-year-old, we both had a wonderful time. Jessica and Ryan were our guides, they pointed out some neat sights and made us feel comfortable paddling the Chicago River for the first time. We'll definitely be back.
