Wow what can I say if you haven't been to Belmont park you need to go. This little amusement park is right off of the beach. It is free to get in, but if you are going to get on the rides all of them I suggest get a wristband. If not a lot of the rides are like seven tickets and up. Each ticket costs a dollar. There are clothing stores here as well as gift shops. Has a lot of concession stands with amazing food. They also have this area called The Plunge or something where it's an indoor pool for the kids where the parents can work out at top. And the price is very reasonable and decent. There is also an arcade here as well as a little Carnival booths. And if you get bored here it's just a hop skip and jump away from the beach you walk to the back and there you go. My wife found this place. This was our second time visiting San Diego. Our children had a ball. Between the food and the rides. We made great memories. I really had a wonderful time. The only thing that pissed me off was the parking. You have to kidding me. The parking is the worst I've ever seen. I'll never drive there ever again.

As of this writing (June 2025), I’ve been to 48 of the 50 USA states (sorry North Dakota & Michigan) and you will be hard pressed at any age to find a better spot than Belmont Park and everything it offers within a true ten minute walk from the main parking lot near the arcade and coaster. The beaches are spectacular, people watching, boardwalk (actually a cement path great for roller skates, skate boards, running, walking, whatever). The photos and video will say more than I can with words. Also — everyone is so chill and friendly. You can’t come here and be stressed, it’s just impossible. And even if you think you don’t burn, bring sunscreen because you lose track of time and you’ll get lots of sun without realizing it.

Absolute fun! Perfect destination for fun with the family. Rides, games, toys, shops. The kids will have a blast; the adults can eat drink and play too. The park is clean and spacious. Good times.

Great historic beachfront amusement park right by mission beach that’s fun for all ages. The wooden coaster was very fun to ride, and exceeded expectations. The gyroscope/swinging ride was also a blast but would recommend not doing it on a full stomach nor if you get queasy easily. Also keep valuables in lockers or have somebody hold it while you ride because I saw someone’s phone drop from a ride and into a crack only accessible by the maintenance crew which took a while for them to get to. Miraculously phone was okay due to its case but don’t try your luck. Lots of things to do and parking was abundant.
