Heads up... the staff's speed, professionalism, knowledge of bikes and overall kindness will make you fall in love with Blackstone Bicycle Works. You have been warned. During my first visit I complained about pains from the bicycle seat after not having ridden a bike in years. They not only gave me really solid advice but offered me some tools that completely changed my life. I now ride everyday and feel great after a long distance pedal through Chicago. So glad the young men are not only being taught a craft but interpersonal skills that connect them to lifelong customers.

Great customer service fast service. Children repairing bikes I think it's a wonderful thing. My husband and I took our bikes to get the tire repaired not expensive in my opinion and asked if they would raise my handlebars they did with no charge. I'm taking my grandsons bike 🚴 on Monday. Great location.

I'm so sad to see they're closed. I hope it really is just temporary and they reopen again soon. My children earned their first bikes at this shop. Excellent program for the kids where they learn how to repair and build a bike. After a certain number of hours learning/working they can choose a bike to keep. I just looked them up because I am looking to purchase a bike and really wanted it to be from this place. Please don't stay closed for long. Great place.

Great kids here! They will repair your bike, do it with a smile and good cost! Can't ask for more! Owner is also kind and extremely knowledgeable (helped fixed a tricky problem on my bike without costing a fortune)

Blackstone Bikes is wonderful. I feel like I'm helping the cause and also promoting local businesses. I needed a full tune up and thankfully, I had someone to help me with all my issues. There's a constant flow of young kids volunteering at BB and the staff is so kind. The service I got was quick and prompt. I had a great experience here!

The staff and volunteers act as teachers and guides, providing real-time instruction tailored to all skill levels. Moreover, the shop sells refurbished bikes and offers maintenance geared toward affordability and sustainability, supporting the community in maintaining mobility. While the shop can get busy at times, this vibrant atmosphere adds to the sense of community among patrons who often share tips, stories, and support one another. The repair and maintenance services thus become a communal learning experience rather than a simple transaction.
