I don't know why I keep giving this place a chance, but I end up annoyed every time. I really like the idea, and the restaurant itself is chill and close to my home, but I'd purchased food here at least a dozen times before I said forget it because EVERY TIME my order was wrong.... something is missing from the sandwich, I'm given the wrong sandwich, or something is missing from the whole order, etc. 0/12 Today... I asked my daughter to get me an Italian sandwich since she was already going but I told her to check the order before she left. I mean, how hard is it to screw up an Italian sub? An Italian sub usually has ITALIAN meats and ITALIAN cheese. Board & Brew's Italian influence stops with Genoa salami, apparently. No pepperoni, no Italian ham like mortadella, or provolone cheese. Nope... this one has *smoked* ham and... turkey? With SWISS cheese. And mustard??? No tomatoes. *What?* And.... they screwed up the 3rd item on this order, because of course. Big difference between a wrap and whatever this was - basically the inside of a sandwich dumped into a clamshell container. Just rename that sandwich to ANYTHING else, OR make an *actual* Italian sub, and make sure the orders are filled accurately.

This Board and Brew makes me upset because the quality is terrible. I’ve definitely had multiple bad experiences here and multiple good experiences at the Miramar and original Del Mar location. Somehow the sandwiches coming out of this location are always not that full, limp, and sad. The employees are still friendly, and the atmosphere is clean and surf-y, but the food does not deliver on the original promise. The lettuce was not as fresh as it could be, and it just lacked what I think about when I think of turkado or veggie delight.

Update: I went back and showed the manager what happened and he comped my order 😊 they are definitely willing to make it right Paid $2 extra for each sandwich to have avocado and they forgot. Tried calling the number only to get to a voicemail that was full. No way to credit my account back the extra $4.
