Even when I became part of contributing to resources I discovered while assisting my peers, the other staff continued to assist ME in finding the resources I needed to get my own apartment, which has been a huge blessing. The clients have been nothing but grateful and trusting and helping them gives me a sense of purpose. I admire each of the staff for their own, unique contributions, but I LOVE to watch Darla work her magic. She always ends her session with some motivating speech, which, simply put, conveys the message that Building Promise, well. .promises, that doors will finally start opening, where before they were closed and that you won't ever have to do it alone. This is an amazing organization, they really care about the people that they help. There is one particular lady that works for them named Darla she went above and beyond to help my son. Not only did she find jobs that was hiring at the time but she called them making sure they would hire my son with his criminal background and they did. She also got him food from another place in the building and helped him get signed up for food stamps. She was an outstanding and caring person and I will definitely remember her compassion towards my son when telling others about Building Promise
