Just a heads up that after the past eight or 10 years, Burgerville's fabulous seasonal Strawberry shortcake....infamous for its Fresh sliced strawberries, strawberry purée, old school biscuit- like shortcake, topped with a dollop of vanilla ice cream is no longer.... I was served this weird strawberry purée instead. It looked ODD so I asked if they'd forgotten the shortcake.? The server was delightful and added extra. Upon leaving the drive-thru , I pulled over to put a couple strawberry slices in my mouth... realized there were NONE. Drove back through expecting we'd all realize the strawberry sundae purée had been used accidentally ... Instead I get a snarky server explaining to me how the strawberry shortcake topping is made.... *yawn* And then you know who's next.... the eye rolling, condescending manager. Miss me with that, sugar.... Lawdy, that BV sure has changed. All y'all OG BV crew know exactly who this is. As does the owner. "Effin' Metal" 🤘🏻 Bad experience.... this evening.

I used to love Burgerville and it was a healthier alternative for fast food. Unfortunately their quality has become so dismal now I don't know if I will keep giving it another chance. I've complained to the company but they don't respond. This time the order was wrong and food quality abysmal. The drive thru wait time was almost 20 minutes but there wasn't a long line. No reason given for the slow service and the staff looked depressed. I ordered the Northwest burger with no tomato or pickles. Instead they gave me no lettuce but left on the tomato and pickle. The burger patty itself was sad and not even in a round shape. It looked like 2 thin pieces of meat thrown together to make a patty. The burger itself didn't look anything like the picture. The patty size looked like it was a original small cheeseburger size vs the Northwest it was supposed to be. I spent over $20 on this meal and the only decent thing was the milkshake. The fries were over done, $8 cheeseburger a joke and horrible service. I didn't even get napkins or request for condiments. By the time I realized this I had already driven away and didn't have time to go back. This is sad to me because Burgerville used to be one of my favorite places to eat quickly and been going for 20 years now. I'm not sure I'll go back after 4 bad experiences in a row over the last 8 months. It's not just this store but have issues and disappointments with other ones in the Portland area.

Thank you to the sweet woman working the close on 7/22 that turned my rough night around! I’d doordashed food from their restaurant over an hour before close, just to have my food delivered over an hour later, and it not be my food, but someone else’s. The dasher went to get gas/made other stops, so it left me with little time before they closed. I called, and she made up my order again. My GPS stopped working on the way there, and I ended up getting there after close. She was so friendly still, and had my order for me. The little things matter and her attitude and effort made a difference in my day, and set my birthday off to a great start!

Drive-thru service was fine; food was... Meh. Today the burgers were mediocre, which was unexpected and disappointing. I also chanced the fish & chips for the first time. For that I DID expect mediocrity, and was not "disappointed." Tasty enough, but the pieces of fish were flat and "uniform in shape," indicating some mechanical prep (likely prior to delivery to the restaurant). Again, I didn't expect much as this is a burger joint. The chocolate shake was delicious, but next morning when I poured the refrigerated leftover into a mug (in anticipation of making a "ghetto mocha" with my morning coffee), the shake had become a somewhat-coagulated slime. (A very close comparison would be "the texture and viscosity of egg whites.") Needless to say, that was sent straight down the drain with a Drano chaser. I don't know what's in their shakes (maybe it IS egg?), but I do know I won't be having one again--day old OR fresh. The fries were good, but today's meal was not a good value for the price.

I came in to see if I could get something to eat or drink. I asked the manager if he could help and told me it wasn't his place and even refused water to drink. I walked out confused and started to write my review of the situation and a very nice employee came out and said she'd buy me something to eat. I really appreciate what she did and her manager could learn a few things from her.
