The MRI program was fantastic. If you put in the work, you will do well. Reasonably priced, all the instructors truly care about your success. Had such a great experience here. When reading negative reviews, keep in mind that your success is always in your own hands. The only one stopping you from achieving what you want is you. Your own excuses, your own limitations, your procrastination. Sacrifices need to be made if you truly want this career. I would also suggest anyone trying to do MRI, goes to shadow someone in the field for a few days. Doing any job just for the pay is never fulfilling or o purposeful. Highly recommend!

I enjoy attending school here at CBD college, especially with our amazing surgical technologist program teacher/instructor, Dr. Khoram. Dr. K is a surgeon of 25 years, part time CST and a teacher. He is very well respected by all of his students and built the majority of the ST program. I do not believe anyone in the surgical technology program admin is helpful. Unfortunately and especially, the director of the ST program - Mrs. Stephanie Schrems/Allen, is VERY unprofessional. Many emails were sent out from students to Stephanie Schrems and of course, she does not reply. She is the director of the program and supposed to be there for the students. She likes to tell us not to hesitate to reach out to her if we have any questions or concerns; but when we do, she does not reply back. In the beginning of this module, I heard another teacher had joined the ST program labs for the past 3 weeks. That teacher is a certified surgical technologist with 15 years of experience and has trained fellow CST students. Mind you, TRAINED, not taught. Due to unfortunate circumstances, the new teacher and Stephanie Schrems have driven Dr. K to resign from his position at CBD college. Let me tell you, every past and current student he had was in disbelief and wanting to transfer out. How can a student not want a surgeon/cst as their teacher over a CST with experience? But I am sure there is more to it. To be honest, we all think they might be bothered by how much Dr. K cares for his students' education. Not only does he teach us about the instruments and procedures, but he also lectures us about the anatomy of the procedures. He wants his students to understand how, what, where and why the "patient" is having this surgery; not just memorizing or knowing the technique of passing instruments, setting up the OR or knowing the sterile technique. Dr. K is the best investment they have towards this program. When concerns are mentioned to Schrems, she just brushes them off and defends the people she believes will benefit her. She should be dismissed from the school of her position/title, immediately. They need to find someone who is more concerned about their students' education, time and money. On top of that, this is the first time I am hearing that a director of a program lives in a different state than the school she is working/teaching at. I feel like most of the staff from other programs are here in California. I have noticed the director or dean of DMS has visited the class one or twice. Where is our director? How come she is not visiting the ST classes? I’ve heard of students who wait possibly 4 months or up to a year for externship sites to call them. This will push back the student’s graduation date and grace period for the loan. Then to find out, some of their sites are dental offices. What does dental have to do with surgical technologists? We have the right to voice our concerns because a good percentage of the students are taking out loans to attend the school. Taking out loans of $40,000 for school is not the problem, but it's the lack of integrity and communication. As a program director, I think you should always try your best to hear out your students' concerns and make it happen hence we are paying for it. They’re making us feel like we are just a paycheck to them. If you decide to join the ST program, do not. Don’t waste your money here. Your concerns will not be heard nor will it be their problem to fix.

I will say, they responded pretty quick to information. The only reason I give it 4 stars is because I didn’t like 2 things, see photos. Some review said they had a high score and was dropped from a course. I took that with a grain of salt and applied. I received an email and found that they can DO that, they do OVER enroll. Tuition is over $60,000. I already have a bachelors degree from a cal state, was told I’d have to take general education courses all over regardless having a degree. ❥︎❥they will enroll over the limit ❥︎❥possibility of you passing and not moving forward I just am discouraged from taking general education courses all over again, I rather go take the science pre reqs at a community college and apply to a community college. Not to say, the price at a CC is $46 a unit. 😩

Don’t go to this school for DMS! Everything is online and you’ll have to teach yourself! The teachers expect you to know everything by the time you get to class. 2 long chapters per class each week and tons of homework! $62k to teach yourself is crazy. I’m transferring to community college to finish. Plus they lost their obgyn CAAHEP accreditation!

I started this university in January 2025 for my master's in occupational therapy. In the beginning it seemed to be okay. But when I had i've given them an accommodation letter trying to get the times adjusted was a huge task. It took a couple of weeks to get it adjusted, even though I submitted that accommodation letter month a month or so before. Also ordering the uniforms that we were required to order. I never got the email I reached out to them. Several times by email, also responding to the texts and calling. And I really never got a response and only got information from one of my classmates to email the person in charge of the ordering for the uniforms. It was only then that I was able to get the uniform ordered, and it was on the last day that we had to order the uniforms. Also They told me to call somebody else which I did. And I was told to email that person but I explained that when I email nobody responds and again they told me to email that person that it was then that I got the other email for the person in charge of the uniforms. It was only then that I was able to get the uniform ordered, and it was on the last day we had to order the uniforms. So this first semester of there was quite a few hurdles to go over, but I made it through the professor's have been very supportive so far, but there's a few things that I would change and I can't post it here. I would also say that the admin needs to step in when certain incidents occur, which they have been appraised of.
