I first took a weekend wheel class and completely fell in love with pottery. Now I’ve already finished my first 8-week wheel course and am signed up for another one + handbuilding. Leo is kind, warm, funny, and helpful. What I like about her studio is that it’s welcoming and there isn’t a super strict vibe. You’ll get instruction learning the basics and then you do your own thing, asking for help when you need it. The community is kind and helpful, there are lots of people who have been doing this for a while and are happy to answer questions. You can bring photos of what you’d like to make and Leo will show you how to do it. It’s really nice to be able to switch off and hang out while making pottery you’ll eventually use or give as gifts. Additionally, there is a studio puppy named Amigo who is so so cute. This is very much a community and I’ve loved being a part of it!

I love this place for so many reasons. I scheduled a private workshop for my bachelorette party, and it was one of my favorite parts of the whole weekend! Kathy was an amazing instructor, and I loved getting to watch all my friends play with clay and explore pottery together! I can’t wait to pick up all our pieces and deliver them to my friends at my wedding! I’ve also been taking classes here since last fall and I’ve absolutely fallen in love with pottery. Leo, Kathy, and Alondra all curate such a great vibe and community in the space; it’s really special. Oh! And Amigo the studio pup is a little sweetie pie. Highly recommend!

I’ve been coming to classes since the beginning of 2025. Kathy is an awesome instructor with a natural ability to teach. The classes are structured but allow for you to do your own thing. After about 10 weeks (I had zero experience to start) I’m getting really comfortable throwing and have started to make pieces I’m proud of. Can’t recommend this enough.

My boyfriend and I went in for a drop-in class, his first time ever doing something like this and we were really excited. A few weeks later, I went back to pick up our finished pieces. They had his ready but said mine wasn’t available yet and to come back in a week. When I returned, they still couldn’t find my piece. The owner was very dismissive, said she’d mail it when she found it and didn’t even ask for my address, I had to offer it myself. It also felt like she rushed me out of there. I never received the piece. Overall, a very disappointing experience

It was a GREAT experience, especially with an acknowledged teacher who made all the creations from wheel throwing and hand building! Leo is so passionate about educating other students, and the classes are enjoyable. Even if you don't know anything about ceramics, it is a great place to start!
