As a life time art lover and sometimes maker of ceramics, I have been hugely impressed with the atmosphere and environment that has been created at Gnarware. The location is easily accessible, the classes are super fun and the staff is extremely knowledgable and helpful. Working in clay is extremely therapeutic, both emotionally and physically and I feel really proud of the ceramics I have made during my membership. My vessels and sculptures also make great gifts!! I highly recommend this studio to anyone, from first timer to expert ceramics artist.

Just finished my second wheel class at GnarWare and want to share how positive my experience has been. They offer a friendly and welcoming studio environment, have great instructors and offer plenty of extra access time in the studio. They offer workshops and memberships too. Definitely my favorite ceramic studio in town.

I took a hand building class and really enjoyed it. I had no prior experience with clay so it was a great intro. The staff was very friendly and the teacher was patient and knowledgeable. Lots of friendly and talented artists working on their own projects as well. Would recommend for beginners and seasoned ceramicists!

Had a great time w/ my intro to pottery class! Liz was super nice and let me have pretty free reign w/ studio time. Instructor was generous with time and had a small class if cook peeps. Everything came out of the kiln and it was definitely worth the money! Even a drop in class w/ my sweetie was great.

I love GnarWare! I even moved to Pilsen last year so I could be closer to GnarWare. I've been a studio member for 2 years, and it has been the best decision I made for myself. I started by taking an introductory Hand-building class taught by the managing owner, Liz, and I've been hooked ever since! My friends and family love it when I make them bowls. GnarWare studio techs (shout out to Frenchy and Ike) are incredibly helpful and friendly. They're invested in your projects and always ready to trouble-shoot with you. I love it when Liz shows me something cool and new to try out with my ceramics. On top of that, I've met some really cool and interesting people here and seeing their work have inspired me! If you are looking to try out a new hobby or rekindle your old interest, this is the perfect place to explore ceramics.

This flexibility caters to different interests and skill levels, so everyone in the group can enjoy the experience together. The space itself fosters collaboration and conversation, enhancing social connections in a creative context. Event rentals must be reserved and paid for in advance, but the team at GnarWare is supportive in rescheduling if needed. Additionally, GnarWare offers offsite workshops for gatherings wanting to bring the creative experience to another location, expanding options for hosting. This combination of creative resources, tailored experiences, and supportive staff creates the ideal environment for memorable group meetups.

Booking is customized by negotiation, ensuring that the group’s size, space, and specific interests shape the event. This service expands access to clay artistry for groups who might otherwise be restricted by location or preferred setting.
