Why Chalet is a fun option when searching for things to do near me with friends and family
Chalet Restaurant, located at 2918 S. Grand on Spokane's South Hill, has been a cherished local dining destination since its founding in 1982. It's especially renowned for its breakfast offerings, making it a great place to meet up with friends for a morning or midday meal. The restaurant is beloved for classic breakfast dishes like biscuits and gravy, French toast, and eggs Benedict, which have remained favorite staples throughout its decades-long operation. Chalet provides a cozy, friendly diner atmosphere that has made it a gathering place for families and friends, fostering a sense of community and tradition. Notably, it’s a special venue for many who met their spouses while working or dining there, adding a romantic and nostalgic element to its ambiance. Visited from DC with reservations for 11:30. Arrived at 11 and was seated immediately. Everything was great! Food, hospitality (manager checked on us twice) Jazmine our hottest was Amazing. We ordered the board for the 1-2 and it did not disappoint. The warm donuts with chocolate and caramel sipping sauce excellent. Nice music ( R & B vibes) Would highly recommend.

The wings and chicken Alfredo bread were pretty good but needed a bit more flavor! Drinks were good though. I got espresso martinis and they tasted great! Highly recommend! I love that you can split the bill and you can pay via an app.

Visited for a happy hr before an event. I like their food but there's always something odd when I go. On this visit, during happy hr, they take reservations & walk-ins are placed on a list. Okay cool. We got there at about 4:20 pm. They had 6 OPEN tables & said they were holding them for 5p reservations. So you're telling me you let 6 tables sit open until 5p even though you have a wait list of at least 5 parties?! That's insane. The girl doing the seating seemed new, but another lady kept coming up (I assume she was some sort of management). But they never sat anybody at those 6 tables before 5p. We were able to get seated at the bar & service was reasonably timed. I just couldn't understand how they did seating. Also, the happy hr drinks were terrible. The lemon drops are premixed. And the blue green tea shot tasted watered down. Im assuming whatever lemon juice they use may be the source of the issue since its used in both. I expected more from the drinks given I've been here before & had pretty decent drinks but those were definitely not what I expected. I can't fully put my finger on how I feel about this establishment yet but I'll say I haven't experienced any riff raft while going & music is always pretty good!

I'm really enjoying myself. The vibes & energy is A1. Courtney is the best bartender ever. She's really sweet, outgoing and her energy is top tier. I felt comfortable with her serving us. When I say she's a pro with the drinks. She made my Mother's Day before it even started. I highly recommend Chalet .
