I’ve sailed boats from 8ft to 65ft, including spinnakers, taught beginner to racing, was sailing master at Orchard Lake CC, taught sailboarding, sailboarded 68 mi across the Florida Straight nearly reaching West End Bahamas and as Port Watch Capt taught onboard Bay Bear a Palmer Johnson custom 42 for SAILTRAMID G’LAKES. CSSD uses Martin 16s which allow Physically Challenged Sailors to fully control the boat even using sip n puff controls for severely challenged sailors. I especially like sailing with the asymmetrical spinnaker, as well as sailing the recently acquired Skud 18 an adapted sailing design modeled after an Australian 18’ skiff. The volunteers are knowledgeable and accommodating, while maintaining a safe environment. Experienced or interested in learning it’s a great group to join!!
