As a Food Tour operator myself, you can imagine how discerning I must be on other tours. This was one of the top three Food Tours I've been on! The food, the information, the pace…all perfect! Plus it was largely gluten friendly without being completely different from the offerings my friends received. Highly recommend!

Phyllis was warm, personable, highly knowledgeable and picked amazing restaurants to sample the gastronomy of Chicago. I loved how she weaved in history, pop culture, current events, migration, and personal stories about the restaurant owners into every stop. She has amazing stories about each item we tried, and how the dish came about, you can tell she’s a fellow foodie, and I would love to try her other food tours when we’re back in Chicago.

We really enjoyed our recent tour! It was great to be able to experience some of the ethnic food diversity in Chicago and learn more of the history of the Uptown neighborhood. Phyllis is very knowledgeable and passionate about food and Uptown which really added to the experience. The tour was well paced and the food choices delicious. So much in fact we went back a few days later and picked up some takeout from a couple of the restaurants. Highly recommend.

This is a fantastic tour! We were hoping for a Chicago food tour that went beyond Chicago Dogs, Chicago deep-dish pizza and Italian Beef. This tour did that and it exceeded our expectations. The variety of different tastes from different ethnic eateries was robust. The quantity of food was perfect. And the stories we heard about the food, the people and the neighborhoods were very interesting. We learned so much about the food and the people. Truth be told, we returned to the area two days later and sampled more treats from the same places we visited on the tour. Phyllis is a great guide and shows off the area with an authentic sense of pride and love for the town. We'll do another one of her (different) tours the next time we're in town.

This food tour was great. Phyllis is a natural. My wife and I had a great time on our tour. We were told by locals the spots we were brought to by Phyllis are some of the best in the city. Phyllis made this tour top notch and I honestly can say one of the highlights of our trip to Chicago. Thanks!
