My friend Alex and I took a level 1 free diving course w Anatoliy. We had a fair amount of prior experience, but still found the class extremely useful from a safety stand point. The Haigh quarry water vis was okay (Murky but clean), but the setting was very nice and easy to get to from Chicago. I’d definitely recommend the experience to divers of all abilities. Anatoliy was a great, patient and professional instructor, and I give him top marks.

Anatoliy is a great instructor! He made me feel comfortable and did everything he could to insure I got the most out of class. From suggesting the correct gear and merchants to buy from to the hands on class work he helped me every step of the way. Anyone looking for a Freediving instructor would be in good hands trusting Anatoliy. Can’t wait to get back in the water!

Anatoliy is a great instructor. His emphasis on safety prepared me to be a more confident diver knowing that the people I am diving with were also trained by him. Anatoliy goes above and beyond to keep his students involved in diving by providing open line sessions at Haigh Quarry and also organizes diving trips in a lot of other places. I recommend him as an instructor to anybody that is curious to learn to freedive. He often joins us on unofficial practice sessions always providing valuable feedback on how we can improve. Check Chicago Freediving out and see you under water!

I had a great experience learning the basics of freediving and getting my level one certification with Bart. He is very knowledgeable, patient and guides you through every aspect of the class as well as practical skills in the water. I would 100 percent recommend it. For people with some experience in free diving, the center provides weekly practice sessions, in the pool or the quarry( depending on the season), which is excellent way to dive, improve your skills and meet like minded people!
