I was there celebrating my birthday with a group a friends. The vibe was great. It was a sold out comedy show. Showtime was 7pm— the opening comedian came out around 7:30pm. I think it should be a better food selection but we made it work. It took a minute for one of my friends to get her sangria drink. My other friends got their drinks after friend #1 placed her drink order. We had to remind our waitress that the Sangria never came out. Other than that, we had a great time. You are also greeted with a shot glass of wine. I will definitely go back.

I came here to support my friend, Gaelika Brown, who was part of the 360Comedy lineup. I came alone and had a time by myself, as usual. Once you deal with the headache of parking, accessing City Winery via the Tasting Room is quite simple. I paid $7.60 for 3 hours of garage parking, which was not bad at all. I was guided to my seat by a nice lady who explained City Winery's $25 order minimum policy, then my waiter walked up and promptly took my order after she gave me her on-point recommendations: Caesar salad with a side of the marinated chicken skewer. I also ordered a glass of sangria. Everything was delicious! I would totally order the same thing again and would come experience another 360Comedy night.

Came here for the first time and yes the tables are really close together but the staff was very friendly my waitress Brittany was very attentive and informative of the wines and dishes, the simple dish I had was really good. Highly recommend the sweet muscadine wine. I would definitely take another 2 hour trip to come again.

City Winery is truly a vibe! The food and wine were absolutely amazing — flavorful, fresh, and perfectly paired. The atmosphere was stunning and set the tone for a top-tier night. DJ Mars and the band brought all the energy — every moment felt like a celebration. That said, the service didn’t quite match the rest of the experience. With a sold-out crowd, the same staff were taking orders, serving, and bussing tables. It created delays and made it hard for them to provide the attentive service diners expect. I genuinely feel some of the servers missed out on tips simply because the setup didn’t set them up for success. Still, if you’re there for great music, good food, and an unforgettable atmosphere, City Winery delivers. Just hope they staff up better next time!
