I volunteer here for the pantry because i love to help but don't always have the personal resources. I just wish that those in charge could be nicer to the people who come here for our assistance. While i understand that some come in with attitudes and some cause fights or trouble; not ALL of those who come here do that and they shouldn't be treated as if they have an attitude because the person ahead of them had an attitude. That's just my personal opinion.

A true community center founded in 2006 providing community development & supportive services that address the needs of low income and vulnerable children & families. This place makes a difference in everyone's lives and is an important part of the community. There is a food pantry every Monday from 6 to 8 pm for the Residents of zip codes 60637, 60615, & 60621. Food available includes: Bread, vegetables, meat & other food from the Greater Chicago Food Depository's food-rescue program. Anyone in Chicago can Volunteer. Check them out on the Meet Up website. Every third Monday join local charity Fight2Feed as they make a hot meal for those picking up food at the the food pantry.
