Okay, now that I've come down from the rush of rebirth, I can leave a review. I love Cowtown. Always have. It's where I got my (now ex's) setup to get him back into skating after maybe a 15 year gap, and it gave him a new lease on life. He got me into skating when i was maybe 34, and we always went to Cowtown, as we appreciated the customer service and the fact that it's locally owned. As things go, I got busy working too much and stopped skating after the relationship ended. However, life is changing so I'll have the time to skate again, and yolo 🤷♀️. It can be intimidating to go into a skate shop with only a little knowledge, since the ex was the one who knew all of the things. But I saw a deck online that I NEEDED (😂), so I meandered into Cowtown and Thomas and Leo helped me put the sickest setup together. They didn't try to upsell, and let me know all my options with no pressure, but with recommendations based on what I am wanting to use it for and what I've previously skated on. I brought in my old deck hoping they would tell me it needed to be replaced so I would have an excuse to get a new deck, but they said it was still in good shape, so I still went for the new deck bc LOOK AT IT, but now have no justification for getting a whole new setup 😂 I took her out for her maiden voyage at the park where I first learned to skate. I didn't even eat it once (I know that just means I didn't go hard enough 😂😂😂), but the setup was PERFECT. Look at those WHEELS... there's no sidewalk cracks or rocks they can't handle! 😂😂😂 It was so much fun and is bringing joy back into my life. Thank you Thomas and Leo!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I usually perceived skate shops as being mostly a hangout spot with a retail facade; talk about subverting expectations. The kid Alex working the shop really knew his way around. I came in with my kid not knowing the first thing about a skateboard set up and here Alex was, explaining the entire process step by step. He gave me just enough knowledge to guide the two of us next time, and enough to get us right back in the door. Thank you, Alex!

Small but very early 2000's vibe, personally they have a great selection and the staff were extremely attentive and helpful, build 2 of my 3 boards there, no regrets.
