Crabtree Creek Trail is a nice hidden gem in Raleigh that has a lot of wildlife to see while traveling on the trail. I personally love the boardwalk and the many opportunities to take a beautiful photo. You will more than likely see the resident Domestic Muscovy Ducks right on the boardwalk rails, pretty colored animals during the warmer seasons, or Bald Eagles soaring above the lake during the colder months. The trails are also great to take a quick hike or travel through while cycling. My only gripe is that the trail has a decent amount of trash, but from what I can tell it is maintained. Overall I recommend stopping at this wonderful spot in Raleigh and make sure to snap of photo of your findings!
