Cripple Creek is a one stop shop for knowledge, gear, and expertise. I highly encourage setting up an appointment to make sure you connect with the right person and make sure they have time to help. My first connection was with Michael, who is a friendly and very knowledgeable split boarder. He helped educate me in the world of hard boot split boards, guided my decision making process across boots, boards, bindings and more. Not only that, Cripple Creek will help support you in the unfortunate event of a warranty issue, taking the hard work off your plate, allowing you to get back on the mountain. Additionally, they have an extensive demo fleet allowing you to compare and contrast all parts of your purchase before you commit. If you are looking for real people who care about your experience, look no further than Cripple Creek. I truly can't thank this team enough for all the support over the last few weeks!

I went there to shop for AT boots and they were very helpful, unfortunately they didn't have exactly what I was looking for. Miles better than evo in every respect, particularly carrying lighter touring oriented boots that aren't just marketed at primarily resort skiing. Also, their prices for bike work are much lower than I've seen elsewhere. I will be going here when my bike needs a brake flush.

Really abrasive customer service experience, I have shopped there a few times and always felt like I was inconveniencing the sales person by asking questions. I haven’t worked with anyone else and he is always has made me feel bad for asking questions. Went in today to adjust a binding and he said 5 words, didn’t really help or explain what he was doing. After he took my breaks off my backcountry skies which took 25 seconds, he charged me $15, which I am not opposed to just would have like to been told before hand. We are doing a fun sport and I am asking for support and it just made me sour on this company.

With an adaptive mountain bike it's challenging to find shops willing to work on it or with the interest in doing it well. Charlie from Basalt Bikes is both - excited to tinker with something new but also with the know-how to do it right. The super-quick turnaround was also incredible. Even with some custom work and non-standard parts to install a rollbar, Charlie said it was the most fun he's had working on a bike in a while. I'm telling all my adaptive rider friends that Basalt Bikes is the best shop in Seattle!

Seattle has long lacked a back country shop with expertly curated gear with sales people that use it. Set me up with great gear, and took my side when a couple of pieces weren't perfect - they swapped them out without question. Nolan, Randy, Michael, and the rest of the crew there are top notch.
