We are not vegan, but we really enjoyed the food here. The spicy rigatoni with chicken parm was excellent—full of flavor and cooked perfectly. The calamari was also very good, crispy and tasty. The atmosphere was great and very welcoming. The service was also very good; the staff was friendly and quick. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a tasty and enjoyable meal.

Hands-down, the best vegan plant based restaurant we tried in LA. The food was amazing. Every single dish we got was flavorful. It is à la carte style, so be ready to share and definitely save room for dessert. We are so satisfied with our first experience here that we are going to be coming back to try it one more time before we head back home to Vancouver BC.

I went here for my birthday today and had a wonderful time. I ordered stuffed French toast which was REALLY good - the toast had the right amount of crunch to each bite and the berries on the toast were cooked a certain way to add lots of flavor. My girlfriend and I were the only vegans in our party - the other 5 guests throughly enjoyed their meals, and one did not even notice that we were at a vegan restaurant! This is a great place for vegans and non vegans alike. On a side note, on our reservation, we said that we were celebrating two birthdays. Our server asked and confirmed about the birthdays, but we did not receive any extra “birthday cake/desert”. I am only bringing this up because as we weee paying the bill, another server brought a birthday desert out, but gave it to another guest.. it’s just a bit weird because in the reservation, they have a “are you celebrating anything” question, but did not do anything (with our party) with that information. Just wanted to include that for the restaurant team and other guests planning on celebrating here. I still do not know if we were supposed to order our own cake. ACCESSIBILITY: Although we did not have a guest in a wheelchair, someone in our party has slight mobility issues. One of the staff offered to bring out a chair for him while he waited for the car - this was incredibly sweet and helpful. PARKING: Easy to find street parking (metered), 2 hour max

We tried their tasting menu and were happy with the options they had. While expensive, we got to try various small plates, unique in their presentation and taste. The interior had a busy, yet cozy fine dining vibe. Their dishes have heavy truffle taste, so if you're not a fan of mushrooms, may want to go elsewhere.

The starters, salad, and main dishes were divine. Nice atmosphere. Fancy, small, beautifully plated food. Everything is plant based, but the cheese tastes real. The pasta with an "egg" looks and acts like a yolk. It's amazing. My only disappointment is that all the desserts were overwhelmed by the taste of coconut, which I don't like. But my wife like I will say that I’m not vegan or vegetarian, but I went for Valentine’s Day with my girlfriend and she really enjoyed it and I also kind of enjoy the food. It was good, but it just felt like there was nothing. but for someone who eats meat you know but it for her it was really good. I would recommend it if you’re vegan or vegetarian

What kinds of activities can you enjoy at Crossroads Kitchen that make it great for groups? Primarily, the dining experience itself is designed to be shared and social. The menu features a range of small plates that encourage ordering multiple dishes per table — guests often recommend ordering around 10 to 12 plates to sample broadly, facilitating communal tasting and discussion. The atmosphere fosters connection, whether you’re indulging in their famous artichoke “oysters,” truffle pasta, or stuffed zucchini blossoms alongside crisp cocktails or a well-curated wine list. Beyond eating, the space itself—elegantly appointed with warm lighting and artistic décor—promotes chatting, relaxation, and enjoyment. The staff are highly attentive, ensuring that groups receive smooth, courteous service that enhances the social experience without interruption, which is important for a gathering where the focus is on interaction. Why is Crossroads Kitchen’s menu perfect for group meetups? The menu’s range of inventive vegan small plates makes it easy for everyone to find something delightful, regardless of dietary preferences or restrictions. The dishes spotlight Mediterranean flavors and textures, from savory eggplant steaks and creamy chickpea marsala to indulgent vegan meatloaf alternatives and fresh, warm pita served with dips like baba ganoush. This variety allows groups to mix and match to suit diverse palates, and sharing multiple dishes makes for a dynamic dining experience where conversation flows as freely as the food. Drinks are thoughtfully paired, including creative cocktails such as the Midnight Manhattan, which add a festive touch to any meetup. Because the meal is structured around sharing, it naturally encourages camaraderie and an interactive dining atmosphere, breaking down the barriers of a traditional, plated meal. Whether it’s a brunch gathering or an evening dinner, the menu’s depth and presentation elevate the occasion while keeping it approachable for all.
What makes the setting and service at Crossroads Kitchen conducive to social gatherings? The interior ambiance strikes a balance between chic and cozy, incorporating modern design elements with subtle luxury. This makes it a fitting spot not only for casual meetups but also for more formal celebrations among friends or family. The seating arrangements are flexible enough to accommodate intimate groups or larger parties, fostering an environment where conversation can thrive without the noise or distractions of a typical bustling eatery. One frequent guest review highlights service that borders on "obsequious," reflecting a high attentiveness which ensures that guests feel well cared for. However, this level of service is delivered with professionalism and warmth, contributing to a relaxed mood throughout the visit. The staff’s knowledge of the menu and suggestions about dish selection help groups navigate the options confidently, enhancing the overall experience. The location’s parking accessibility and proximity to Melrose’s attractions also make it convenient and appealing for groups traveling from different parts of Los Angeles.
Are there any special considerations for hosting a meetup at Crossroads Kitchen? Since Crossroads Kitchen is known for being a high-end vegan restaurant, the food pricing reflects its quality and innovative plant-based approach, so some guests note that dishes can be on the pricier side given portion sizes. However, this is often balanced by the exceptional taste, presentation, and the uniqueness of the dining experience itself. Guests who are passionate about vegan cuisine or are testing the plant-based lifestyle will especially appreciate the level of culinary craftsmanship. On the other hand, some diners who prefer simpler vegetable preparations might find the focus on meat substitutes less aligned with their preferences. Despite this, the broad appeal and diverse menu options ensure that most groups will find something to enjoy. It is recommended to make reservations ahead of time, particularly for larger parties or weekend brunches, to secure a comfortable spot. For those looking to extend their meetup into the evening, the restaurant’s cocktails and relaxed vibe create a great ambiance for lingering over drinks and conversation.
