Cultivate Initiatives seems like a great place. I only recently got acquainted with them when moving back to Portland, from Eastern Oregon where I was doing Gardening work and working at a dairy. It is incredibly stressful not knowing anyone and having nowhere to even stay at all, when just trying to find honest work and a job. Grateful that they are there with their shower and laundry service, and a place to just exist for a while in what can be a chaos of city if someone has nowhere to live.

Everyone there is great. There was a weird vibe there this time though, a " no" vibe from a few people which is weird considering what they do there. Being homeless is hard enough but when you need a warm coat and you are told no it's a little jarring. It wasn't only that it was the boss lady at the reception desk, same thing, a bunch of excuses why not and no let's see what we can do's....if you know what I mean. It never used to be that way there, things change I guess.

Went there to get help with rent, had been told someone would call me back more then twice and never got a call back. Horrible experience.
