Disappointing and I was put in an uncomfortable position. upon arrival we all sat down to have a provided meal and to learn about the farm and during introductions we are supposed to say if we are non binary gender and what we thought we were and I said I was female and I was stopped right there in front of an entire crowd because I'm a mother of three and my God and I identify me as a woman and I'm at a farm doing introductions and she said we're not supposed to use the word female and I asked her if we were at a farm. Yes. If you're going to a farm to have fun with your children I think everybody should be able to State how they view themselves as and there should be no limitation and I don't know why the hell they wanted me to state that in the first place it's none of anybody's business. They were sticklers about it and it was really disturbing. The farm itself and activities .. To be blunt. We were on a time schedule and we didn't get to have fun we just hiked and looked at a couple chickens and sunflowers and tomatoes and a stick fort and didn't learn much...

Went to the farm for the first time today to pick up a spring garden kit. We were warmly greeted by friendly people and allowed to tour the farm. They teach kids about farming and that's such a valuable skill to have.

I can't recommend Zenger Farms for custom produce orders in Portland. I'm a local chef, catering a wedding this weekend with tight timelines, and placed an order based on the weekly farm harvest email. After an apparent communication mixup the delivery wasn't made, they admitted to making a mistake but wouldn't make any attempt to re-deliver, and made no effort to work with us in getting our order completed. I'm still a little confused by the apparent disinterest in actually selling what they grow, but in their words produce sales are something they do "on the side" and "we don't have enough people, and too many other things to manage right now."
