Here's what people think of Cure Thrift
As of recent, Cure Thrift holds a 3.7-star rating based on 515 reviews.
Reviews from shoppers indicate that Cure Thrift is appreciated primarily for its unique and carefully selected inventory. Many visitors praise the wide variety of vintage clothing, accessories, and especially the outstanding home décor and furniture — some of the best-curated collections around NYC. Positive comments highlight the quality and distinctiveness of the items, the philanthropic underpinning which adds meaning to every purchase, and the vibrant atmosphere within the store that makes the shopping experience enjoyable. However, a notable portion of reviews mention that the pricing is somewhat higher than typical thrift stores, with jewelry often priced around $40 to over $200, which some consider on the pricey side for thrift shopping. This premium pricing sets Cure Thrift apart as a more upscale vintage store rather than a bargain basement thrift outlet. Customers also note that the large inventory requires time to thoroughly explore, which can be a positive or a downside depending on shopper expectations. In summary, while Cure Thrift may not be the cheapest thrift store, it is highly regarded for its curated offerings, philanthropic mission, and unique shopping environment that resonates with both locals and visitors seeking vintage style with a cause.

Swanky and stylish thrift shop on the more expensive side (think $30-50 for some tees) with plenty of quirky, vintage threads and doohickies. It’s also a popular spot for finding charms. There was a sea of people sorting through tables of charms when I visited. The staff is friendly and helpful and it’s worth checking out for some of the oddball stuff you can find.

This is one of my favorite spots to visit. When I don’t have any plans for the day, I come here. I like to browse in the shop and I can always find some real nice and not TOO overpriced. It’s a great shop!

if you want to get price gouged, you should shop here. they're selling a pair USED Hondo boots for $350 but forgot to remove the price that shows they were only going for $39.99 from whichever other thrift store it came from first. Thats around a 895% mark up for a supposed "non-profit" organization. By the way, brand new Hondo boots only go for $290-$350. Edit in response to response: vintage hondos don’t go for $350. This pair appears to sell only for $82 online, and they some even go for as low as $15 online (see photos). And just cause it’s vintage that doesn’t mean it’s an excuse to mark it up almost 900%. Only vintage Lucchese boots sell for upwards of $350. This just further proves that whoever is in charge of curation simply just looks up generic terms online like “vintage cowboy boots” and decided to go for the most expensive one. Not a good look for yall.

Cute date spot for charms and bracelets, but too pricey if you want to do some actual thrifting. Fine if you’re looking for expensive art pieces and vintage items.

This is an interesting collection of some cool but shockingly overpriced pieces of clothing, jewelry, housewares, and furniture labeled “thrift” even though in many cases they seem to be marked up past the original price. Used sneakers from 10 years ago can’t sell for $175…
