If you’re considering Current Wellness - do it!! I’ve been working on my relationship with movement and my body for the last couple of years, and Current Wellness has been a unique, wonderful community for me to feel comfortable attending classes while truly enjoying it! In the classes, the instructors are great about offering at least 2-3 variations of each movement to accommodate all body types and fitness levels. My favorite part of Current Wellness are the other people attending the class. What makes it a really unique environment is the diversity of body sizes and backgrounds compared to traditional gyms. In addition to the class schedule, they have series you can be a part of such as Reclaiming Running (shoutout to Julia who is incredible!!). It’s great to see the same people every week! Also I had the BEST massage I’ve ever had from T’Keyah Moore.

Massage: T’Keyah is amazing if you need massage/bodywork. Highly recommend her services. She is super professional and caring. She has great knowledge of the body and how to incorporate relief and relaxation to sessions. Do yourself a favor and book an appointment with her. Fitness Classes: The classes at Current have been a wonderful experience, another super welcoming environment with instructors who are tuned into the body and to the individuals. There are always modifications available for those who need them, and no one is made to feel othered for any adjustments that need to be made. Class sizes are generally small enough to feel like you are getting personal training/yoga sessions. Angela is an excellent yoga instructor and I LOVE her classes, they are always such a treat for my body and soul. Space and Staff: Current's space and staff is always welcoming and has great energy. The feeling of community can be felt upon entering the building. Current is regularly more than just a fitness or bodywork space, there are cool events/markets now and then that highlight local, small vendors, and minority owned businesses which is super intentional on the part of the owners. Owners, Britt and Nathan, are such sweet people and this community of downtown Raleigh is lucky to have them. They will learn your name and make you feel like you belong in their space everytime you come in. They have done a great job training all employees to lead with this type of warmth. An absolute gem of a wellness center. Go check it out!

This place is fantastic, with lots of natural light as you enter and a cute lobby. Most importantly, T'Keyah Moore was one of the best therapists I've had in the area in recent memory. Highly recommended!

Being a member at Current Wellness for the last 2.5 years has been transformative for me. I've never experienced this type of unconditional support in a fitness space before. I love the diverse array of classes (favorites are Tidal Intervals, Tidal Strength, Tidal Movement and Immerse) and the input I've received from instructors has helped me build trust in my body after injury, and confidence in my form. Movement instructors, practitioners, staff and owners are all wonderful, and the sense of community is so lovely.
