What a gorgeous neighborhood for jogging or walking! This upscale Dallas area is a runner's paradise with beautifully maintained paths shaded by mature trees. The winding trails offer a perfect mix of flat paths and gentle inclines that make for an interesting workout. The canopy of trees provides excellent shade coverage, making it comfortable even during warmer Texas days. The landscaping is immaculate with well-kept grass areas and seasonal plantings. It's especially beautiful during fall when the trees create a natural tunnel of autumn colors. Safety is top-notch with good lighting, wide paths, and a constant flow of fellow joggers and walkers. The neighborhood streets are clean and quiet, with friendly residents who often wave as you pass by. Pro tips: - Early mornings are perfect for watching the sunrise through the trees - Plenty of connecting paths let you customize your route length - Water fountains are available at strategic points - Street parking is usually available if you're driving in - Best to come during daylight hours to fully appreciate the scenery If you're looking for a peaceful, scenic spot for your daily run or walk, Highland Park's trails are hard to beat. The combination of natural beauty, safety, and well-maintained paths makes it a standout location for fitness enthusiasts. Definitely one of Dallas's hidden gems for outdoor exercise!"

Curtis Park is a calm, family-friendly spot with space to breathe. The playground is solid, and the kids had a good time. Restrooms are available, which is always a plus for families. It’s not the flashiest park, but it’s peaceful a good place for walks, quiet talks, or letting the little ones burn off some energy. A solid 4-star vibe if you’re in the area looking for somewhere chill to unwind. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Be sure to leash your dog if you take them here! Not because its respectful to the people, but also because of the beautiful wildlife you will be inches from. There's a beautiful Swan that lives in Turtle creek on this end (my pooch is too scared to get close). Plenty of ducks too! There's also a small playing field for volleyball.

Me and my three children tried to come up here for a little new adventure and they wouldn’t even let us pay extra to get in. If you’re not a university park resident you’re not allowed at this center. Don’t waste your time or energy trying to come here because they will turn you away. Not to mention there was only Caucasian people here and all of my children are mixed. i’m a single mom of three and I like to take my kids to new places and let them see things. We don’t usually get to see cause we live off of one income. I’m not trying to get people to pity me. I just wanted to come out on a Saturday with my kids and have them go to a new waterpark in this one made it clear. The only people allowed here are the people that live in that community.
