I am a student at Dallas County Community College. I have reached out to the Financial Aid Office numerous times over the past few years, including last year, the year before, and again this year (2025). I have also contacted my success coach for assistance, but she refused to help me. An employee that work for you directed me to contact you. I also reached out to Debra knighted and was turned down in a rudely prompt in 2025. Your assistant dean discriminated me. MY EDUCATION SHOULD NOT BE UP FOR DEBATE. I have gone through four to five people just to obtain your email address, including last year. While I understand that workloads can be overwhelming, it is still her responsibility to assist students, and I feel she has failed me in that regard. Unfortunately, this has left me feeling discriminated against. We are all supposed to be treated equally, yet I have not received the same consideration as others. I submitted my medical appeal documentation for my financial aid, but I have yet to receive a response. Others in similar situations have received timely replies, but my case has been ignored. This lack of communication is unacceptable and has placed an unnecessary burden on my academic progress. NO STUDENT DESERVES TO BE TREATED LIKE THIS I contacted Debra Knighten, your dean, in 2024 regarding my medical appeal. She refused to help me and responded in a dismissive tone. She never looked into my case or referred me to you. One of your employees directed me to you. There are sections in the Dallas County Code (such as §86‑1004 to §86‑1007)

Returning to Dallas College this Fall 2025 hasn’t been the smoothest experience, especially with the last-minute launch of WorkDay. While there have been unavoidable system issues and delays, I want to take a moment to recognize two individuals who truly made a difference: JerAnthony “JC” and Ssatis Jones. When I faced major setbacks with tech support, JC provided reassurance and guidance that helped me successfully complete registration this past Tuesday. Then today, during my campus visit, Ssatis went above and beyond to ensure my time wasn’t wasted. Her determination and positive attitude turned my frustrations into a smile. Thank you both for your outstanding support—I genuinely appreciate the effort you put into making this process easier.

My 7 year old son attended a summer camp at the El Centro campus. I have to say I was impressed by the facility - really nice inside and I saw lots of technology in the classrooms. Dallas College donated prizes and snacks to the campers and the couple of Dallas College staff members I interacted with were really nice.

EL CETRO COLLEGE IS A FRAUD! THEY SCAMMED ME OUT OF 15 THOUSAND DOLLARS! The dean was mean & rude & threatened me that I wouldn't graduate unless I took classes that were completely irrelevant to my area of study. Even the teachers are part of the scam. I was forced to buy expensive books that the teachers never even acknowledged. I graduated, but walked out of graduation empty-handed. If you are a student here, I highly advice you to start running before the same thing happens to you. They don't care about you, just the money.

One of the teachers made my daughter cry. Don't send your kids here if you want them to come home frustrated and sad because of these terrible teachers.
