The DPL continues to go downhill in basketball. At this point it is the responsibility of the person in charge, Teresa whoever. She is defensive, doesn’t take criticism or feedback, and basically just says she won’t respond to ADs. There is no real effectiveness anymore. Schools are not matched up by skill or size. She apparently just does what she wants. Parents are now upset across multiple schools and we’re talking. This isn’t the only league out there. She needs to be removed, replaced, or enlightened on what her role should actually be. Coaches and players for some schools are out of control. Why pray before a game when your coach encourages taunting behavior. Ridiculous and unprofessional and Teresa is the only one who is in charge. That needs to change

This is the worst sports system in existence. The person in charge has complete control over everything and there is no way to appeal anything. No video evidence is allowed. There is zero consistency with anything. I heard the the person in charge has relatives that attend the same school and punishment was not handed out equally. I will not allow my children to play for this league, which is a shame since they would love to play with their friends. But I cannot support a league that does not punish coaches that use foul language and encourage hurting and injuring 10-14 year old athletes. There is a reason they have a low rating.

Dealing with that woman in charge is an absolute struggle. I called with a question about my step son’s game and she got defensive in two milliseconds. Plus she walks around with a frown on her face. Plus, the website is horrible. It’s “playoffs” not “play-offs”. And why do I have to download an excel file to view my stepson’s schedule? It’s so very obvious she needs to be replaced.
