This was my second class with Dash of Soy, and once again, it was an amazing experience! Mikiko is a fantastic instructor—knowledgeable, friendly, and great at making the class both fun and easy to follow. The Tokyo Shoyu Ramen class was very hands-on, and I loved how approachable the steps were, even for someone with minimal cooking experience. The atmosphere was welcoming, and I left feeling confident that I could recreate the dish at home. I highly recommend this class (and any offered by Dash of Soy) to anyone looking for a unique, delicious, and enjoyable cooking experience!

My wife and I had a wonderful time doing the 5-Course Vegan Meal with Knife-Cut Noodles. Elaine is an excellent instructor. She explains not just the how of cooking but also the why, and I really appreciated her giving us a grocery rundown on where to buy of the ingredients in the recipes. The small class sizes (there were 5 students total) and 3 hour length means that you get lots of hands on experience cooking and have plenty of time to ask Elaine all of your questions. It felt more like a dinner party with an expert than a cooking class! I'll definitely be signing up for more classes in the future.

What a lovely and lively experience I had with Elaine at Dash of Soy culinary school. It was my very first cooking class ever, and I was a bit nervous to attend alone, yet I felt welcomed and comfortable from first email interactions all the way through the delicious meal I shared with fellow students and instructors. I learned about ingredients, tools, techniques and the cultural and historical significance of the places from which our amazing dishes originated - and then some! This school is very highly recommended to anyone wanting to learn in a relaxed and friendly home-style environment. She and her colleague felt like friends from the moment I arrived and I can’t wait to go back to learn and taste more! Many thanks, Elaine!

I had the most amazing market tour with Elaine and even with her Mom! It was an intimate tour of a wonderful Asian market in South Seattle. One I had never been to before. Elaine's mother happened to be up visiting and together they walked us through each section and explained patiently many ingredients and unusual meats. They answered in depth questions about ways of preparation for all sorts of fish and meats and veggies, which sauces are used for what and which brands they prefer. It was really a sweet and fun morning. So much generosity of spirit and information. It was a really a one of a kind experience and I am so grateful to have been able to do it. I cannot recommend more highly!
