Why Dick's Drive-In is a fun option when searching for things to do near me with friends and family

Dick's Drive-In has been a beloved Seattle fast-food establishment since its founding in 1954, renowned for its simple yet high-quality menu focusing on classic American fare: burgers, hand-cut French fries, and hand-made milkshakes. With nine locations in the greater Seattle area and a tenth opening soon in Everett, Dick's offers a nostalgic, no-frills dining experience that honors its original philosophy of serving fresh, 100% beef burgers and homemade fries. The original Wallingford outlet sparked a steady expansion to neighborhoods including Capitol Hill, Lake City, and Lower Queen Anne—the latter being the only location with indoor seating. Dick's menu has changed little over the decades, emphasizing quality ingredients like locally baked buns, freshly cut potatoes for fries, and fresh, never frozen beef patties. The signature burgers include the original hamburger and cheeseburger, as well as the Dick's Special and Dick's Deluxe, which feature fresh lettuce, mayonnaise, and pickles, with the Deluxe doubling the patties and adding cheese. This enduring simplicity paired with freshly prepared food creates an inviting atmosphere perfect for casual meetups with friends who appreciate timeless comfort food. Dick's commitment to consistency and quality has helped it withstand the test of time, remaining a quintessential spot for a quick, delicious meal in Seattle.

My friend from Washington took me here and I left very happy. Great burger. I liked the seasoning salt in it. Fun joint. Definitely a place with a fun vibe that you can crash at after an event. We luckily beat the traffic-just as we got sour food a big line formed. They get your food to you lightning fast. It was very impressive. I had the felled burger, fries, and a root beer float. It was all great.

Lightning fast service and top notch burgers at a reasonable price! Don’t let lines scare you: they move super fast. We went during a pride event and even though there were huge lines, it took us less than 20 minutes and we got our food the second we paid. The got the deluxes and I got a coffee, and the burgers are good at the first bite, but it’s the aftertaste that’s best. Most surprisingly, the par coffee paired so well with the burger that it became exceptional. Highly recommend for a traditional genuine and affordable Seattle experience!

Dick's Hamburger The prices are pretty good, but you have to pay extra for ketchup, etc., for the fries. Speaking of fries, they're good! Fried with skin and a brownish color—none of those pale, light-colored fries. The hamburger taste fresh but it's very avg. Nothing to write or tell about.

What a great dive! This is a walk-up or drive-thru only place! There is a stainless steel standing table for like 8 people if you eat your order there. But don't expect anything else for seating or a table. That said, you can't beat the price and taste! The buns were buttered and toasted to a perfect crispy toasty goodness to compliment the cheap burger it is holding. The fries are Crispy and has the skin on! Which is yummy! The milkshakes are thick and sweet! Definitely will be coming back again and again!

Fries were fresh; milkshake was good! The cashier I received wasn’t the best but the overall service of the others were good. Wait time for food was good and quick. Milk shakes took some extra time but was good. I went in the evening so parking was bad; foot traffic is much easier to get in and out
