If I can give half stars, I’d say this place is just a bit under 4 stars. Situated in a mall filled with Asian cuisine, Din Ho lies as a solid option for anyone craving a family style sit down meal. The food was decent albeit a bit hit or miss. Highlighting the meal was the barbecue pork belly which was juicy and crisped to perfection. The sautéed eggplant with beef was a welcome taste as well. Unfortunately, Din Ho struck out big on one of our favorite dishes (Chow Fun). The noodles were tough and the flavor was lacking all around. Lastly we ordered the fried flounder which did taste delicious although it did have a large amount of roe on it which was very unappetizing. Altogether, Din Ho Chinese BBQ is a traditional Chinese restaurant that is a standout amongst Austin’s Chinese fare but does not hold up well against NYC or Bay Area’s cuisine of the same taste.
