Dive World Austin is amazing. From the first time I walked in to the store, to completing my scuba certification with my kids, the owners and staff have been exceptional. It honestly feels like family. The staff is very knowledgeable and kind. Kyle was our scuba instructor and man I couldn’t have asked for a better instructor for me and my kids. He was so patient, knowledgeable and you could tell he has a passion for what he does. You can’t beat a scuba instructor that’s also a Girl Scout troop leader. I would highly recommend asking for Kyle as your instructor.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! I was having coffee across the street with my husband when I noticed the scuba flag across the street and said why not check it out? Immediately walking in we were greeted by Seth (the owner) and immediately sparked a conversation with us about re certifying our dive certs, gear and pretty much every question we had! We even talked not just about the items and gear in the store but also about trips abroad and other places where there is great diving! The entire experience was un rushed even with other customers in the store, keep in mind we didn’t walk in with the intentions to buy anything. However my husband was in need for some Freedive fins and he happened to have some in stock on sale!! His size!! At a fantastic deal too, so towards the end we ended up with new fins and a new mask that I desperately needed. Seth was a plethora of knowledge and has a genuine care for his craft. We are so grateful for the experience, looks like we unknowingly walked into our dive shop and we will definitely be coming back!

The shop team answeree all our questions and ensured we had everything we needed to be ready for our training and future vacation and put or concerns to rest. Kyle was our dive instructor, and he's a rock star! He was super patient with everything, knew when people were feeling anxious about a skill and took the time to put everyone at ease and ensure we knew how to be safe underwater. There was a lot of learn in a short time, but he explained things so they were easy to understand before he demonstrated them to us. We did our open water dives at the Mansfield Damn and while visibility was a concern, it was still good enough to see some fun things and fish. We had an additional dive master with us at the damn, Nate, and he was just as awesome as Kyle making sure everything was running smoothly and keeping a watchful eye on the class. I can't say enough good things about Kyle and his approach to teaching diving 🤿, if you can choose your instructor I'd highly recommend him! Finally, the owner of the shop, Seth, was great and cooked us food and congratulated/welcomed us all for becoming new divers. Couldn't ask for a better experience and will be sure to recommend to anyone looking to get into diving. He was patient, encouraging, and made the learning process enjoyable for both of us. My daughter felt completely at ease with him, which speaks volumes.
