They do cleaning and vacuuming during open hours it's distracting and super annoying also not much in selection for adults in books it's better to find another I only go here for wifi that's it. Come summer I'm going to the one downtown.

I hate how people treat lower income communities. This library has no room for people to sit down. There are only computers as if they think Black people do not read. It’s very disheartening that one has to travel outside of their neighborhood to find adequate space to enjoy the library. Also, I have been going to the library since I was five years old and in my 20 years of being a Chicago public library member you can always go in a study room as long as there is no one booked For the room. If someone comes and they have the room reserved of course you would get up. It’s very sad and I hope we do better.

When I was a kid, I was almost robbed in the downstairs bathroom. Me and my mom had stopped in to use the bathroom and she had gave me some money to get some snacks and so when she finished before me, she waited in the hall for me, I go to wash my hands and then all of a sudden, this heavy, black boy quietly came up to me told me to empty my pockets and my mom was wondering why was I taking so long so she pulled the door open and asked what was going on in there, the boy said I was just emptying my pockets and my mom acted quickly and pulls me out the bathroom.

Lots of rough characters at this location coming in and out. Not a great spot to bring little children in my view. Don’t look to the kids section for featured books that might be appropriate for a small child; the library really wants your kid to know about drag and trans stuff. Like really bad. Because you know, three year olds should be thinking about gender and not the hungry little caterpillar. Barf.
