Great newer trail connecting Honeycutt Park north of I-540 and Shelley Lake. The only disadvantage is being on the road between Strickland and the trailhead and Newton/Six Forks before getting back on the Greenway.

Great paved trail along a creek. Beautiful and a nice lunch break getting out on this trail. Parked on the street, easy.

This is a very lovely and serene walk. Never very crowded, yet always beautiful. The Parks department does a good job of maintaining the trail keeping it clean and swept. There are adequately dispersed trash cans to deposit trash as needed. I recommend walking in pairs or with your favorite dog.

This a great walking path. We usually start at the trailhead, make our way down the Shelly lake, make the loop and then head back. It’s a great walk and the path is wide enough to safely take kids on bikes/scooters with you.
