I was in the RC, so lived here my freshman year in 2019. It’s a great location on campus and one of the nicer (recently updated) dorms. The dining hall always has plenty of options and is a favorite among vegetarians and vegans. The blue cafe has good food and drinks. I liked to study in the Green Lounge. If you’re interested in the humanities, either as a concentration or as a hobby (ie you like writing, movies, etc), I’d recommend checking out the Residential College.

The rooms are very nice, and many of the staff and custodians are very nice and kind (especially the ones who work a lot on the 4th floor, they're awesome!). It's a clean building, with a lot of spaces and a cafe in addition to the dining hall. If you are a vegan like me, the options in the dining hall aren't great. Sometimes it feels like they don't even try, because the "meals" that they offer will just be a small bowl of unseasoned tofu in rice or noodles with some green peppers . Sometimes they have better options, such as sushi. However, I would say go to South Quad because it seems that they have better options. I was very disappointed with the vegan options, as I was told by the tour guides before I started going to U of M that they have the best. But they really just have some of the most pathetic options I've ever seen. The school plasters posters everywhere about how obsessed they are with sustainability, but it seems like they are ignoring the most sustainable way of living that has even been pushed by the UN - veganism.
