This park is so incredibly beautiful and lush, I often forget I'm in Atlanta. It has an abundance of trails for walking, hiking, or biking, and a wide green space for frisbee, picnics, or other activities. The river that babbles though is very scenic with all its many little waterfalls and bridges that make for excellent photos. Moss, mushrooms, and flowers are always giving the place color; fall is spectacular, as the trees are all bright red. It's quiet and peaceful. Perfect for walking your dogs, and forgetting about the city for a bit.

I lived in this park in the late 1960s when it was a large private holding with the house at the top of the hill. My family member who set up this park in her will cherished this land, and planted many of the flowers and shrubs you enjoy today, and would be disappointed that the lower portion was not included. Long ugly story. Still it is wonderful to see so many here who appreciate this urban green space at least as much as I did as a kid. And Laura Belle too!
