Awesome food, vibe and service. Took me too long to get here but will for sure be back. Shrimp and grits had great flavor and texture. Got the biscuit dipped in honey butter on the side. Everything was so good and would order again, but the other things on the menu sounded great too.

I had this place on my list for over a month before visiting Seattle. Did NOT disappoint!! The owner and staff are absolutely incredible. The food…. My goodness, truly something special going on in that kitchen!! The breakfast sandwich was absolutely mouth watering. Wife and I would have to say the honey butter smothered brisket with the crispy chicken was the best we’ve ever had! The drinks bloody mary and mimosas definitely hit the spot. And when the first thing to hit the table was these beignets, you know it’s about to be an experience!

This place should be on everyone’s food map in Seattle (if you have one)! We came in around 5:20 pm, so we were able to be seated pretty quickly (group of 4), which was a relief considering we expected to wait a while to get a table. While we waited for our food, we saw the place fill up pretty quickly, so we were excited about the stuff we ordered. As the people who came before us started getting served and we could see the portions and looks of the items, our excitement was through the roof. We ended up ordering the Fat’s Sampler, Seafood Sampler, and Chicken and Waffles. This has to be some of the best fried chicken I’ve ever had! Perfectly crisp on the outside and juicy on the inside. Their Honey Buttered Biscuit is totally worth the hype too, has to be one of the best Biscuits I’ve ever had. Overall, the food experience lived up to our expectations and we will definitely be back for some more! Service can get slow when the place gets super busy, but that’s okay because we found the wait to be totally worth it. The staff here tries to create a homely, welcoming, and warm atmosphere, which is something that missing in many other “popular” food places around the city. Seeing the staff interact with our tables and others definitely brought smiles to our faces :) Overall, I’d give this place an 11/10 and highly recommend it, even if there’s a bit of a wait involved!

We went for a late lunch on Sat. The restaurant was full but the wait was minimal. I had the shrimp and grits plus a side of catfish. The catfish was really good, crispy and light. I found the shrimp and grits a bit heavy and the gravy monotonous but hubby really liked it. He had the benedict (so so) with biscuit (nice and crunchy on the outside and pillowy buttery soft on the side). My sweet tea was really light and smooth. I would definitely go back for the catfish and biscuits and try more stuff on the menu. Great southern diner ambience. The service was a bit spotty because only one guy was really hustling. The ladies were chatting VERY loudly to each other most of the time so we had to flag them down to order and get served. They were a bit hot and cold.
