When my wife says she needs Oregon made yarn. We fly out no matter what and visit one of her favorite stores. Located near the city’s public transportation we are able to simply cross the street from the station. Every time we visit we are welcomed like family. This store is like Portland. Cool, Calm, and Collected with plenty of creative inspiration not just inside the shop, as well as the art located around it. I warn you there is so much to see in this area it can be exshausting.

This shop charges $4 just to wind a hank of yarn purchased at their shop. Two other yarn shops I've since learned of do it as a complimentary service unless the yarn was purchased elsewhere, then it's a reasonable $2 fee. I was really put off having to pay $4 at Fiber Rhythm and won't be shopping there again.

Super helpful staff and good selection. Showed my daughter how to use the machine to wind up a skein for crocheting. About average on price for smaller, local shops.

The aisles are a bit confusing as there's no flow from one side of the store to the other between the weights of yarn. Each weight is clearly marked, however you might have to cross the store to find yarn in a similar weight.

The shop’s commitment to nurturing growth in both beginners and advanced crafters demonstrates a dedication to community and education. The historic ambiance of the Ford Building, once a hub for Ford Model T assembly and distribution, adds a sense of heritage and character to your meetup. What practical tips should groups consider when planning their visit to Fiber Rhythm Craft & Design™? Since the Ford Building is currently closed to the public except through Fiber Rhythm’s dedicated street entrance, groups should plan to arrive together and use the shop’s own access point on SE Division at SE 10th. Communicating with the shop ahead of time is advisable especially if any member requires ADA access, as special arrangements are available. The hours from noon to 8 pm on most days provide ample flexibility but confirming hours before visiting is recommended to avoid surprises. Given that restrooms are not currently open in the building, groups should plan accordingly before arriving. Finally, booking workshops or renting floor looms might require advance notice due to demand and available space, so early coordination is key. With a little planning, your group can maximize the unique offerings of Fiber Rhythm and enjoy a flawless crafting meetup experience.
