Five stars for everything seems like a lot for a Cuban-ish, French-ish bakery in a pop-like like space, but it's the real deal. The Cuban meat pies aer delicious. The French patisseries are top-notch. The Cuban-style coffee is addictive. And it's a really nice place to just hang out.

If you like coffee and if you like cake and if you would like to infuse the two this establishment is the only one in Salt Lake City that has a chef willing to make Opera cake. Opera cake basically is a cup of coffee in cake form (not Starbucks people, traditional cup of coffee) a difficult and delicious cake. I called everywhere in Salt Lake City and parts of salt lake county and Utah county looking for opera cake and filling and emulsions was the only bakery willing to satisfy my craving. Full accolades to the chef and staff as the cake was a triumph. Additionally had the pleasure of trying a Cubano sandwich (not the coffee) which was savory, perfect crunch, and beautifully rendered pork goodness.
